2012 Possible Schedule
Things are still being worked on, but the most likely dates for the homestay program this year will be from between July 23-24 to August 14-15. It’s looking like the date we will leave for California will be either July 21 or 22 and returning somewhere between August 13 to 15. Possible dates: July 21-22 to August 13-15 Once the dates have been set, I will post them for everyone to know.

2011, we took a year off. Next year, 2012, we are planning to have a summer homestay program in California! Yeah! Anyone interested in attending next year can go ahead and begin the signup process. We arrived at Arroyo Verde Park in Ventura at 10:30am just when the fog was burning off allowing the warm sun to shine. It was another beautiful day! The air temperature was about 23C or 73F. We couldn’t have asked for better weather! After arriving, we setup the volleyball net that the Morenos brought from home. Then we played a little volleyball together, ate, played some softball, relaxed and talked, played frisbee and catch, hiked and then played some more softball before cleaning up and heading back to our respective homes to spend our last night together with our host...

Like every year, we don’t really know where we are going to have the Sayonara Party. Thanks to the Piszczeks and their friend Laura, we were able to have the Sayonara Party this year at a place where the everyone could swim, lounge around by the pool under some shade and even ride or pet horses. It was a blessing! Tom Triplett and Kyle served the food and the families sat around discussing the homestay this year while the kids swam in the pool and played around. We had some great conversation and it was another successful party to end another wonderful amazingly blessed homestay...

Hurricane Harbor was so much fun! We arrived just after it opened and spent the day playing in the water. The weather was perfect! The air temperature was around 85 F that day, about 29 C.
