Another Fun Day at VBS
Today, Day 3 of VBS, was another fun time together with all the homestay students and VBS students and volunteer staff. The kids made crafts, one I also enjoyed doing and have not quite finished, sang songs, danced, listened to and discussed Bible stories, ate snacks, played games and ran around. Many students have made new friends. One little American boy said all the Japanese girls are his friends and wanted to get his picture taken with them. 藤本 綾華 (Fujimoto Ayaka 2005)当時は6年生で英語が全く出来なかったけど、おもいきってアメリカに行きました。
初めてホストファミリーに会った時はドキドキで、私が英語を話せないって伝えたら「たいした事ないよ。」
と言っているような目で見てくれました。
三日ぐらいなかなか慣れなかったけど、やさしく私に接してくれたので、毎日が寂しくなかったし、
夜、ドミノと言うゲームにはまって、いつまでも一緒にゲームをしてくれてうれしかったです。
アメリカでは、日本で体験できないようなことをいっぱいしました。ホームステイで一緒に行った人達と、アメリカの
教会学校の人達と一緒にダンスの練習をして、発表会をしたりして恥ずかしかったけれども、みんなと踊れて楽しかったです。
最後のさよならパーティの時、みんなのホストファミリーと一緒にご飯を食べたり、遊んだり、ゆかたも着たりして、もうすぐ日本へ帰るのはすごく寂しかったけれども、楽しい時間でした。
また、アメリカのみんなに会いに行きたいです。

岩﨑 浩子 (Iwasaki Hiroko 2005, 2007)最初は不安だったけど､慣れるとフリーデイのほうが楽しみになりました。ホストファミリーと遊んだり､日本ではしないことが出来たので良かったです。来年も行くことを楽しみにしています。
