In Flight, On Our Way to Korea
We are on the plane and in the air. The kids are doing well, eating and enjoying chatting and playing with one another. The flight has been very smooth and the weather is beautiful outside. We will arrive in Korea in less tahn an hour from now. It is a very short flight, just under two hours. Keigo is with me, eating and admiring the view out the window. Maiko and Tatsuya are busy talking. Yuki is playing a video game while his mother, Yasuko sleeps. She did not get much sleep last night. Just passed out fliers at Mia and Noah’s school. Out of kindness and trust in us and our homestay program, the principal let me pass fliers out to third, fourth, fifth and sixth graders outside after school. The kids grabbed at the fliers after learning what they were about. I hope at least one student from the school goes.

南麻衣子（Maiko Minami - 2009 Staff）2009年に、初めてスタッフとして参加しました。このホームステイプログラムは本当に素晴らしいと思います。プログラムでは、カリフォルニアの晴天と開放的な雰囲気の中、本当に温かいアメリカ家庭で家族の一員として時を過ごし、一緒に来た仲間と観光し、教会学校に通い地元の子供達と触れ合うことができます。最初は不安いっぱいだった参加者の皆もいつのまにか、自分のファミリーや地元の子供達と英語を恐れず交わり、そして日本の仲間とも助け合う仲となり、かけがいえのない体験をしてました。帰る頃には皆、それぞれが自分が体験したアメリカに興味を持ち、一回り心も大きくなったのを感じました。私も子供の頃こんな体験ができるならぜひしたかったなーと思えるプログラムです。Yate's一家は、アメリカのもてなす心、1人1人を楽しませる、頼れる、素晴らしい家族です。どうぞ参加して体験してみてください。
